Flour Processing

When the flour has been milled it is taken to the upper mill room for processing.

Sieving flour

The flour is put through the sieve

First the flour is sieved to remove any whole grains that have slipped through without going through the stones or large pieces of chaf or straw that is sometimes included with the grain that we buy.

The flour is then put into bags and weighed before the top is folded down and sealed.

Bagging flour

Then put into bags...

Weighing flour

...and weighed.
