Rebuilding the Launder

The Launder is the wooden channel that directs the water from the Millrace into the waterwheels. The old one was rotten and leaking and after managing for a couple of seasons with the help of a plastic pond liner it was decided that it needed to be rebuilt in 2012. These pictures show the progress of this job which was done during a cold winter shutdown.
